King Dutugemunu πŸ—‘πŸ΄

King Dutugemunu is one of the greatest and most celebrated rulers in the history of Sri Lanka. He is remembered for his bravery, leadership and dedication to uniting the country πŸ—‘πŸ΄.  Dutugemunu was born as prince Gamini, the son of King Kavantissa of the southern kingdom of Ruhuna. From a young age, he showed courage and determination. At that time, much of the country was under the rule of King Elara, a just but foreign kingπŸ—‘πŸ΄. With a strong army and the support of royal warriors,  Dutugemunu began his campaign against King Elara. After many battles, he finally defeated Elara in a famous duel. Despite being enemies, Dutugemunu showed great respect to Elara by honoring him with a proper funeral.πŸ—‘πŸ΄ King Dutugemunu is remembered not only as a poweful worrior but also as a kind and righteous ruler. Wesak poya day is the most important religious festival celebrated by Buddhists around the world, especially in Sri Lanka. This sacred day commemorates three major events in the life of Gautama Buddha: his birth, his enlightenment and his passing away.  Sigiriya is one of the most remarkable historical sites in Sri Lanka. Known as the "Lion Rock," it stands proudly in the central part of the country and attracts thousands of visitors each year due to its rich history, architectural brilliance, and natural beauty πŸͺ¨πŸƒπŸ². Sigiriya was built during the reign of King Kashyapa I in the 5th century AD. After seizing the throne from his father, King Kashyapa chose Sigiriya as his royal capital. My dress style πŸ‘—πŸ‘‘πŸ’

  As for my dress style, It's a very simple style. I really like simple dressing styles. Wearing too many clothes can make a style look messy. I don't want my style to be messed up πŸ˜’. I really like the Indian style of Kurutha. I love to pull on a skirt and wear long pants or a skirt that matches the color πŸ₯°. I would like to use to Jimmikkis that match that. It's one of my favorite style πŸ₯°☺️. Kurutha and Long Pant πŸ’—πŸ€. Kurutha and Long Skirt πŸ’—πŸ§‘. Jimmikki . Another style I like to wear is jeans and a long-sleeved shirt πŸ‘–πŸ‘•. I put on two matching simpel sandals. That style makes me feel comfortable. I really like that style for that reason. I also like to wear long dresses as another style.  The Aurudu festival season is the time when every household prepares Kavum, Kiribath, Kokis, Mun Kevum, and Athirasa. πŸ₯πŸͺ. The day the year begins has several rituals dedicated to it. Lighting fires, eating food, doing work, conducting transactions, going out for protection, etc. are included.  The New year festival is celebrated at New year time. During the Sinhala and Tamil New Year festivals, there are public games such as tug-of-war, breaking the pot, cockfights, selecting the New Year princess and prince, Kottapora, etc. At New Year, we clean the houses, buy new clothes, and prepare food and drinks.πŸ₯πŸͺ People celebrate the New Year by doing these thingsπŸ₯πŸͺ. Sri Lankan vocal artists have been in Sri Lanka since ancient times 🎀🎼. They have devoted themselves to the very beautiful art of music from ancient times πŸŽ™πŸŽΌ.  For example-: Mrs. Nandamalani, Mr. Victor Rathnayaka, Mrs. Lathawalpola, Mrs. Angalin Gunathilaka, Mr. Sanath Nandasiri, Mr. Gunadasa Kapuge, Mr. Edwad Jayakodi, Mrs. Shashika nisansala, Mrs. Samitha Mudunkotuwa can be identified, and so on. Their songs, both in the past and now, are listened to by many people in society πŸŽ€πŸŽ™πŸŽΌ. The reson people like their songs is that those songs have beautiful meanings πŸŽ™πŸŽ€πŸŽΌ. My past year πŸ—“πŸ”–

Speaking about my past year, it was a year spend with sadness and happiness together. No matter how difficult those times were, thinking about then afterward makes me really happy. Even though past year was really chaotic, I liked that year a lot.πŸ—“πŸ”– Past year was a year in which I went to dance competitions and won πŸ†πŸ©°πŸ’ƒπŸΌ. Similary, It was a year that caused disasters to the environment. That is the time limit I dislike the most πŸ₯ΊπŸƒπŸŒŠ. Thousands of people lost their lives because of that. The following year, it was that period I disliked the most ⚰️πŸ₯Ί. Similarly, the things that made me happy also happened to me in the past year πŸ˜πŸ“†. Those are exactly what I eagerly awaited when my University studies commenced in an online manner. I got another laptop πŸ˜›πŸ’». I also do not understand how that year passed along with all of this πŸ˜‡πŸ”–πŸ—“.  My dancing teacher' s name is Dinesh Priyankara. My dance teacher is from the Dankotuwa area. Priyankara sir is teacher who studied education at the University of Visual and Performing Arts. He is a skilled teacher of Lowcountry dance. Not only that, he is also well-versed in Kandyan dance, Sabaragamuwa dance and foreign dance. He educates his children at Kularathna Central College .❤️πŸ™ I met him in 2018. I participated in several all-Ceylon dance competitions with him. I won every All-Ceylon competition. It is because of him. I also had the opportunity to participate in dance programs with him πŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸ™❤️. It was because of him that I had the opportunity to wear the headdress of the Kandyan dance tradition . It was because of him that I was able to learn Lowcountry dance. There are several types of dances that are unique to Sri Lanka. There are upcountry dance traditions, lowcountry dance traditions, Sabaragamuwa dance traditions and foreign dance traditions. There are also various dance elements in the Kandyan dance tradition πŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸ‡±πŸ‡°. There are other dance forms in the Kandyan dance tradition such as Yakenuma, Awenduma, Kohombahella, Kuweni Asne, Bulath Padaya, Kothala Padaya and Kolmura πŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸ‡±πŸ‡° There are also several dance elements in the Lowcountry dance tradition . There are also dance elements in peace rituals. Yahan Dekma, Naga Kanya, Giri Dewi, Suraba Valliya, Dewol, Thelme and other dance elements are part of the Lowcountry dance tradition .πŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸ‡±πŸ‡° There are other foreign dance forms in Sri Lanka.
