Wesak poya day πŸͺ”☸️

Wesak poya day is the most important religious festival celebrated by Buddhists around the world, especially in Sri Lanka. This sacred day commemorates three major events in the life of Gautama Buddha: his birth, his enlightenment and his passing away. Wesak is considered a deeply meaningful and unique occasion ☸️πŸͺ”πŸ€.

In Sri Lanka, Wesak is celebrated with devotion, joy and a strong sense of community. Hoenes, streets and public places are beautifully decorated with colorful lanterns know as Vesak Kudu. These lanterns symbolize the light of wisdom taught by the Buddha. Large decorative structures called pandals are also displayed in many areas, illustrating stories from the Buddha's life using artistic designs and electric lights. These displays attract large crowds and create a festive atmosphere throughout the country 🀍πŸͺ”☸️.

Another important feature of Wesak celebrations in the tradition of dansal, where people offer free food and drinks to the public 🀍☸️πŸͺ”.

Wesak remains a powerful reminder of the values of love, peace and enlightenment πŸͺ”☸️🀍.

THANK YOU................πŸͺ”☸️🀍
